To receive an Alabama Drivers License you must be at least 16 years of age and a resident of the state. You will need two forms of identification one of which needs to have your photo. You will also need your social security card a $5 test fee (no checks allowed) and $23 to purchase the drivers license and once again they don't allow checks. To receive an Alabama Learners License you must be 15 years old and a resident. You will need your birth certificate, social security card and proof of school enrollment or graduation. There is a $5 testing fee and a $23 fee to purchase the license and no checks are allowed for payment of either.
