To obtain your South Carolina drivers license you must meet certain criteria. For a South Carolina learners permit you must be 15 years old, bring your social security card, birth certificate and proof of residency. You must also pass a knowledge and vision test to be applicable for the learners permit. Be sure to bring your legal guardian or parent to sign yor application.

At 17 you can qualify for a regular or unrestricted drivers license.
