Massachusetts Registration Information

To Renew on the Internet:

You may renew your registration on the Internet if you meet the following criteria:

  • You have a private passenger registration, or
  • You have a commercial registration owned by an individual.
  • You have a MasterCard, Visa or Discover.
  • Your renewal card is marked "Ins. Stamp Not Needed Active Policy on File."

If you have everything you need, proceed to the Transaction Page and follow the instructions for Registration Renewal.

To Renew by Mail:

Mail in your RMV-2 or RMV-3 and renewal fee (check, or money order only), to the address below.

Before mailing in your renewal, be sure you meet the following criteria:

  • All information on the RMV-2 or RMV-3 is complete.
  • Your insurance agent stamps and signs your renewal card if it is marked "Ins. Stamp Required."
  • You do not have any outstanding obligations or unpaid tickets.

*You may mail the original releases with your renewal card and fee.

Call the Telephone Center and tell the representative you would like to renew your registration.

Before calling, make sure you meet the following criteria:
